How to connect two routers ?

How to connect two routers ?

Here I have two routers to be connected i.e both TP-LINK routers. Connecting two routers together helps you to extends your WIFI range and also helps to increase your limitation of the users to be connected to your WiFi. So connecting two routers helps to do something new with your WIFI.

Steps are as follow :

1. First you need to have both routers together near the computer for the setup of both the router. Instead mobiles can be used to setup the routers.
2. Connect first router{primary router, MAIN Router which is to be connected to the ISP (Internet Service Provider)}to the powersupply and connect it to your computer or directly access from the mobile by connecting your wifi. And enter the router setup page by entering username and password. From the router setup page Note down channel, ip address, gteway of your primary router. You need to do nothing for the main router.
3. Now remove the primary router and power on the secondary router. You can directly set up your router wirelessly or by connecting to the computer, for mobile connection connect your shown wifi by typing your ssid and password of the router.
4. For the mobile setup and for the PC setup of the secondary router (2nd router, SLAVE Router) you can open browser and type 192.168.1.1(default ip, you may have a different ip adress of the routrr) to go to routers page and then just disable the UPnP, disable the DHCP and also disable NAT (I am telling for the tp-link routers.)
5. Now you need to chage the IP adress of the secondary router. For this you should note down the ip adress of the Primary router. If primary routers ip is 192.168.1.1 then just make the ip address of secondary router as 192.168.1.2
6. Then restart your router.
7. Connect the routers LAN-LAN. In the primary router internet is connected to the WAN port and in the primary router connect the CAT-5 i.e(RJ-45) Cable ( you can google for the image) to the LAN1 port. You can connect to any port. And connect the other end of RJ-45 cable to the LAN1of the secondary router.
8. Then all done. You get internet access from the secondary and primary router too.
